Overview of Dalian University of Technology

大连理工大学是教育部直属全国重点大学，是国家“211工程”和“985工程”重点建设高校，2017年9月，经国务院批准入选“双一流”A类建设高校，并于2022年2月，经过优化流程及专家评审，入选国家第二轮“双一流”建设高校名单。学校现有教职工4500余人，其中专任教师3100余人，学生总数49500余人，其中本科生总人数25700余人。学校已形成以理工为主，理、工、经、管、文、法、哲、艺术等协调发展的多学科育人体系。

Dalian University of Technology (DUT) is a national key university directly  administrated by the Ministry of Education, and is a key construction university of the National "211 Project" and "985 Project". In September 2017, DUT was approved by the State Council to be selected as a "Double First Class" Initiative, category A. In February 2022, after optimizing the process and expert evaluation, it was selected for the national second round of "Double First Class" construction universities. DUT currently has more than 4,500 faculty members, including more than 3,100 full-time teachers and a total of more than 49,500 students, including more than 25,700 undergraduate students. The university has formed a multi-disciplinary education system that focuses on science and engineering, and coordinates the disciplines of economics, management, humanities, law, philosophy, and arts.

国际化是大连理工大学的重要战略目标之一，已经与43个国家和地区的313所海外知名高校、科研机构等建立了长期稳定的合作关系。目前，学校建有3个中外合作办学机构（合作高校分别是日本立命馆大学、英国莱斯特大学、白俄罗斯国立大学）、中外合作办学项目1个（合作高校为美国加州大学欧文分校）。此外，大连理工大学已加入21个国际高等教育组织和联盟，包括中欧工程教育联盟、中俄工科大学联盟、“一带一路”大学联盟、上海合作组织高校联盟、中东欧国家高校联合会、中国－东盟工科大学联盟等。其中，中国卓越大学联盟－日本国立六大学联盟由我校发起，构建了丰富的国际伙伴网络。

Internationalization is one of the important strategic goals of DUT, and it has established long-term and stable collaborations with 313 well-known overseas universities and research institutions in 43 countries and regions. At present, the university has three Sino-foreign cooperative educational institutions (including Ritsumeikan University in Japan, Leicester University in the UK, and Belarusian State University), and one Sino-foreign cooperative educational project (including the University of California, Irvine in the United States). In addition, DUT has joined 21 international higher education organizations and alliances, including the Sino-EU Engineering Education Platform, the Sino-Russian Technical University Alliance, the "the Belt and Road" University Alliance, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization University Alliance, the China-Central and Eastern European Countries Higher Education Institutions Consortium, the China-ASEAN Engineering University Alliance, and so on. Among them, the China Excellent University Alliance - Japan National Six Universities Alliance was initiated by DUT and has built a rich international partner network.

为了提升学生的国际视野和学术能力，学校积极培育150多个海外交流项目，近年来，每年有2500余名学生通过长短期交流项目到海外进行学习； 年均聘请长短期海外专家学者近600人来校工作访学；每年有近20个项目获批国家级外国专家项目；教师长短期出国（境）公派、进修、参会、访问年均1700余人次；2023年以来学校有留学生1660人。

In order to enhance students' international perspectives and academic abilities, the university actively cultivates more than 150 overseas exchange programs. In recent years, more than 2500 students study overseas for long and short-term exchanges each year; nearly 600 overseas experts and scholars have been invited to DUT for long/short-term visiting programs each year; nearly 20 projects are approved as national level foreign expert projects every year; More than 1,700 teachers going overseas for long/short-term exchanges or visits on official assignments, for further education, attending conferences, and visiting on an average basis; since 2023, the university has had 1660 international students.

Overview of Internationalization of Dalian University of Technology Panjin Campus

大连理工大学盘锦校区是大连理工大学“一校、两地（大连市、盘锦市）、三区（大连凌水主校区、开发区校区、盘锦校区）”办学格局的重要组成部分，于2012年12月30日获得教育部批复，并于2013年9月5日正式启用。盘锦校区以建设一流国际化校区为目标，校区着力以“在地国际化”办学新范式培养学生国际视野。

The Panjin Campus of Dalian University of Technology is an important component of the educational structure of DUT, consisting of one campus, two locations (Dalian City and Panjin City), and three districts (Dalian Lingshui Main Campus, Development Zone Campus, and Panjin Campus). It was approved by the Ministry of Education on December 30, 2012 and officially opened on September 5, 2013. The Panjin Campus aims to build a first-class international campus, focusing on cultivating students' global perspectives through the new paradigm of "local internationalization" in education.

1.现有国际化模式

1. Existing internationalization models

目前设有大连理工大学莱斯特国际学院，是大连理工大学与英国莱斯特大学成立的中外合作办学机构（以下简称“中英学院”）。该学院旨在提升中英两国的文化、科学、工程和技术交流，促进大连理工大学和英国莱斯特大学的学术合作，培养具有国际视野的相关专业高层次人才。

At present, the Dalian University of Technology Leicester International Institute is established, a Sino-foreign cooperative educational institution founded by DUT and the University of Leicester, referred to as the "Sino-UK Institute".  The institution aims to enhance cultural, scientific, engineering, and technological exchanges between China and the UK, promote academic cooperation between DUT and the University of Leicester in the UK, and cultivate high-level professionals with international perspectives in related fields.

中英学院的招生纳入普通高等学校招生计划，面向本科一批录取。学院学生主要以“4+0”培养模式在大连理工大学完成全部学业，根据学生个人意愿，学生可选择到英国莱斯特大学学习，莱斯特大学的学生也将到国际学院学习，实现双方学生的同堂学习。毕业时学院学生将获得大连理工大学授予的学士学位证书和毕业证书，以及莱斯特大学授予的学士学位证书。学院学生可同时注册大连理工大学和英国莱斯特大学的双重学籍。中英学院的培养方案和课程体系由双方联合制定，所有专业课程将由来自两校的教师进行全英文授课，接受国际前沿教育。

The enrollment of Sino-British College is included in the enrollment plan of ordinary higher education institutions and is open to a batch of undergraduate admissions. College students mainly complete all their studies at DUT through the "4+0" training mode. According to their personal preferences, students can choose to study at the University of Leicester in the UK, and Leicester University students will also study at the International College, achieving joint education for students from both side. Upon graduation, college students will receive a bachelor's degree certificate and graduation certificate from DUT, as well as a bachelor's degree certificate from Leicester University. College students can register for dual enrollment at both DUT and the University of Leicester in the UK. The training program and curriculum system of the Sino-British College will be jointly developed by both parties, and all professional courses will be taught in English by teachers from both schools, receiving international cutting-edge education.

金沙集团1862cc依托管理科学与工程一级学科博士点、工商管理一级学科博士点以及应用经济学一级学科硕士点，招收管理科学与工程、企业管理、技术经济及管理、项目管理、环境管理、国际贸易学、产业经济学、人口、资源与环境经济学等专业研究生。目前设置电子商务、经济学和人力资源管理3个本科专业，本科生696人。金沙集团1862cc重点围绕电子商务与人工智能、物流与供应链管理、环境管理、现代企业与区域经济发展战略、国际经济与贸易等领域，支撑盘锦校区提高办学质量和优化学科结构。

The School of Business at DUT, leveraging the doctoral programs in the first level disciplines of Management Science and Engineering, Business Administration, and Applied Economics to enroll graduate students majoring in Management Science and Engineering, Enterprise Management, Technical Economics and Management, Project Management, Environmental Management, International Trade, Industrial Economics, Population, Resources and Environmental Economics. Currently, there are 696 undergraduate students majoring in e-commerce, economics, and human resource management. The School of Business focuses on areas such as e-commerce and artificial intelligence, logistics and supply chain management, environmental management, modern enterprise and regional economic development strategies, international economy and trade, to support the improvement of educational quality and optimization of disciplinary structure at Panjin Campus.

The work of business school in international student development mainly includes: (1) establishing student cooperative training mechanisms with the University of Loughborough in the UK and the University of Cork in Ireland; (3) Our college students actively participate in various international competitions and have won 8 first prizes in the American College Student Mathematical Modeling Competition and 10 first prizes in the Asia Pacific Mathematical Modeling Competition in the past five years; (4) The number of graduating students pursuing further studies abroad has been increasing year by year. From 2019 to 2023, a total of 109 people went abroad for further studies, most of whom entered prestigious universities in the top 100 QS rankings, such as Columbia University, Georgia Institute of Technology, University College London, University of Sydney, National University of Singapore, University of Hong Kong, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
